DAY1:  Lake – Glacier.
Walking along side the Chandra River, from Chandra Taal, as the river flows to the left. The terrain can be rough and rocky, also unstable at times, as it is crossed by ridges and some mountain streams. The only people you meet are the Gaddi shepherds. We walk for 4-5 hours; we would reach the origin of the Chandra river. Here we stop for lunch and rest. We then cross the small plateau to set up our camp. A walk around the glacier and some exploration will be good for the senses.
DAY 2:  Return Trek
We usually trek back from the same trail, but there is only a short cut of going in a local ropeway used by the Gaddi shepherds. This ropeway can be a little dangerous. Also if you are with a heavy backpack, it is not suggested. It must be done only under supervision and never on your own. After that, we are supposed to carry a dry waterfall, which has water flowing only during the rainy season. After a walk of an hour we head back to the campsite. You may also wish to stay there for a day and explore the area.
