Exploring Delhi, frame by frame - The Times of India

Delhi Photo Tour features in an article in The Times of India Exploring Delhi, frame by frame Nature lover or heritage buff, mastering the camera gives everyone a chance to capture the city with a fresh perspective NEW DELHI: Over the last few years, the capital has witnessed a rise in people's interest in photography .From photo exhibitions to Facebook pages created by amateur photographers, the lens has narrowed the line between work and recreation. And now, a new trend of photo walks is the talk of the town. A photo walk essentially involves trekking around the city and capturing its various moments. And a number of clubs and organiz tions have come up with various innovative walks to teach photographic skills. The idea of a photo walk has also begun to charm tourists. They see it as an exciting opportunity to explore the city and capture memories.Jaidev Jamwal from Delhi Photo Tour organizes different kinds of photo walks, each covering a varied segment. "It's a new concept, at least in India, and local people are still largely unaware. But we get very good response from foreign visitors. Students who want to take pictures for academic work also approach us. We have had professional and semi-professional photographers who have been to India and keep visiting to take pictures," says Jamwal. In the age of smartphones and selfies, the professional DSLR--or the digital single-lens reflex cam era--does face a challenge in terms of number of users, but true photo walkers care little about the device. #phototour #photowalk #delhi http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/City/Delhi/Exploring-Delhi-frame-by-frame/articleshow/48221586.cms
